The Wood Guy of Havelock has been producing quality outdoor/indoor furniture to order for the last 6 years. Inspired by the stunning Marlborough Sounds, our entire range is made with passion and each should be considered a unique work of art.

Only dry Macrocarpa flitches/slabs, high quality fittings and special marine coatings are used.
We make strong, long lasting, durable furniture that requires minimal maintenance. A scuff back and one coat once every year or two rejuvenates the wood. We offer our customers the first rejuvenation completely free of charge.

We use a total of 12 marine coatings during manufacture, to give durable, water proof and high UV protection from our harsh NZ weather. Macrocarpa in direct sunlight on a hot summers day can hit temperatures of around 50 degrees C. Your average outdoor wood stains and oils don't really stand a chance. Whereas, our final top coating is a special product designed especially to handle the extremes of New Zealand weather. This special polymer gives our furniture extra protection from the harsh elements. It's so good - it's our company secret!

Nothing leaves our premises until I think it's right. If I wouldn't have it as my own, I won't sell it to you. Our products are backed by genuine old school values.
